Critical Mineral Resources plc has found visible copper mineralisation in the first drill core, produced from a depth of 30 metres, at Zone 1 North, on the Agadir Melloul project in central Morocco.

The company’s own Multi-Power Discovery HD rig has begun drilling at the next pad, with assays expected in early February.
Chief executive officer Charlie Long said that owning the drill rig gave Critical Mineral greater control over operations and reduced costs.
“Our drilling team is reporting that the Multi-Power Discovery HD is powerful, productive and straightforward to operate, making rapid progress through carbonate and igneous rocks.
“Importantly it also provides us with the capability to explore deeper targets as required, including as we continue hunting for the source of the mineralised rhyolite.
“Morrocco continues to stand out as highly capable mining jurisdiction, not only for its regulatory environment but the depth of practical expertise available on the ground.”
Agadir Melloul currently contains Zone 1 where open pit mining is expected to start, and the much larger Zone 2 which contains the rhyolite discovery and recent gold find.
