Panther Metals plc has appointed Extrakt Process Solutions LLC for phased metallurgical testwork on the Winston tailings project in Ontario, Canada.

Extrakt, along with TDI Solutions LLC, will use its non-cyanide hydrometallurgical extraction technology for phase I metallurgical characterisation on composite samples of tailings from the resource drilling programme.
Panther said that the results would support the design of subsequent testwork to determine recovery of gold, gallium, indium, silver, zinc, copper, cobalt and any other recoverable metals.
Data will also help assess the prospects of economic extraction, which is needed for mineral resource estimate.
The MRE and the metallurgical testwork are then expected to advance Winston through the permitting process.
