Strategic Minerals plc’s subsidiary has identified further mineralisation outside previously modelled resource, from analysis of 2025 drill core at its Redmoor tungsten-tin-copper project in southeast Cornwall.

Cornwall Resources Ltd sent a total of 201 further samples from drill hole CRD041 to ALS Laboratories Loughrea in Ireland.
Strategic said that the additional results had identified “tin-rich mineralised structures” of up to 1.00 metre at 0.67% tin from 291.10m, and tungsten-enriched structures outside the Redmoor sheeted vein system (SVS).
In the current drilling programme, completed drill hole CRD043 “successfully intersected the full extent of the deposit”.
Cornwall Resources also visually identified “strongly” mineralised vein structures containing wolframite (tungsten), cassiterite (tin) and chalcopyrite (copper).
A total of 291 samples have been sent to ALS Laboratories for analysis.
Drilling has started of CRD044, which has reached 455.30m of a 650.00m planned depth.
Meanwhile, historical re-logging and sampling also continues of drill core from the 2017-2019 drilling programme.
Samples from CRD013 and CRD015 identified additional “tin-bearing structures” including 1.65 m at 0.38% tin, 0.01% tungsten trioxide (WO3) and 0.02% copper from 202.15m.
All of the results could support potential future classification of indicated mineral resources, added Strategic.
EXPANSION
Cornwall Resources’ planning application for an expanded drill programme is “well advanced” and additional drill rigs are ready to mobilise on grant of permission.
Managing director Dennis Rowland said: “CRL [Cornwall Resources]’s geological team are effectively working across multiple workstreams to deliver programme activities designed to generate high-quality datasets for inclusion in Redmoor’s prefeasibility study.
“The project stands ready for another step-change in activities following successful receipt of planning permission for the expansion of the drilling programme.
“With further rigs due to arrive immediately after permissions are granted, we aim to progress a large and ambitious drill programme on a scale previously unseen in Cornwall.”
At the recent UK Mining Conference, Cornwall Resources won Exploration Discovery of the Year for its 2025 drilling programme, and Finance Deal of the Year for its award, and use of, the 2025 grant funding.
