Lansdowne CEO steps down

Lansdowne Resources plc chief executive officer Stephen Boldy has stepped down and become a non-executive director, as announced earlier this year.

Dr Boldy will continue to support the company, particularly regarding its Energy Charter Treaty claim against the Irish Government over the Barryroe oil and gas project, offshore southwest Ireland.

Following Lansdowne’s switch earlier this year to graphite, independent non-executive chairman Jeffrey Auld has resigned to focus on his other business commitments, but will also assist with the ECT claim.

Non-executive director Luis Azevedo will act as interim chairman pending the appointment of a permanent CEO.

Mr Azevedo said: “We are grateful for Jeffrey’s work during his 13 years on the board of Lansdowne Resources, including his service as chairman since 2021.”

The company owns São Gabriel Mineração Ltda., which is developing the Macaubas graphite project in Bahia, northeast Brazil.
