Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc has interpreted continuity of gold between the Clontibret deposit and the Corcaskea area in County Monaghan, Ireland.

GRADE
The results are from step-out drill hole CGC-25-005, which intersected nine gold zones/lodes, to the north on the Eastern Zone lodes at Clontibret.
Returns include 4.8 metres at 1.3 grammes per tonne gold, including 0.9m at 3.1 g/t gold, and one metre at 2.7 g/t gold.
The company said that historic drillhole CL84-1, located some 150m south of CGC-25-005, also intersected many of the same interpreted Eastern Zone lodes.
“Furthermore, four of the lode zones intercepted in CGC-25-005 are stronger and wider than in CL84-1,” added Conroy.
“Overall, the new data confirms the continuity of the Eastern Zone of the mineralised system
northwards towards Corcaskea and provides additional support for the company’s interpretation of persistent gold-bearing lodes extending northwards.”
Chairman John Sherman said: “These results demonstrate further continuity of the Eastern Zone of the mineralised system at Clontibret towards the Corcaskea area where trenching previously presented results of 16.5m at 6.5g/t gold.
“The successful intersection of multiple mineralised lodes approximately 150 metres north
of previous drilling, together with stronger grade and thickness values in several zones, is
encouraging and provides further evidence of the scale and persistence of the gold system as we continue to evaluate the potential linkage between Clontibret resource area and Corcaskea.”
Clontibret anchors the company’s two parallel licensed district gold trends, known as the ‘discs of gold” project, covering 95km.
The Clontibret target area currently holds a defined JORC (2012) 517,000 ounce gold resource at 2.0 g/t gold, of which 320,000 oz is in the indicated category and 197,000 oz in the inferred.
The deposit remains open in “multiple” directions.
