Union Jack and Europa said that the down-hole jet pump, installed in October, and associated surface equipment was operating.

Since production resumed, W1 has produced at gross rates of more than 950 bbls of oil per day compared with approximately 750 bopd prior to the jet pump.

The well is on continuous 24-hour production and expected to clean up over the coming days, while export and sale of oil have also restarted.

“We are pleased that the oil production has resumed at Wressle and that the W1 well is once more producing at impressive rates,” added Europa chief executive Will Holland.
