MINE PLAN

Key senior team members have been recruited and key delivery partners selected.

The company is progressing detailed design works, including the coal processing plant and key infrastructure.

In early 2024, WCM aims to make international visits to mines and equipment manufacturers to place orders with construction expected to begin in the same year.

Optimisation of the mine plan continues with the aim of refining the life of mine schedule and production outputs.

In a statement, WCM said it would also “robustly” defend the legal challenge following the Government’s award of planning permission for the mine.

“A wide range of activities have been progressed, and although these may not be visible on site at this time, are critical in ensuring the project is ready and set up to make the next key step to commence site enabling works and for the main decline tunnel drives to proceed.

“WCM and its investors remain highly confident in the viability of the project, which is stronger than ever.”
