United remains within guidance on production increase

United Oil & Gas has announced that production remained within guidance following an increase from its Abu Sennan interest, onshore Egypt.

PRODUCTION

The company holds a 22% working interest in the licence which is operated by Kuwait Energy Egypt.

In its fourth quarter results for 2020, United reported its second half net working interest averaged 2,340 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd).

Net working interest production averaged 2,243 boepd, with 1,960 barrels of oil per day oil and 283 boepd gas.

Following the ASH gas pipeline coming onstream just before the end of December, United ended the year with net working interest production of 2,389 boepd.

The company said it expected the data to vary with each quarter as development, appraisal and exploration operations continued.

MULTI-WELL PROGRAMME

Chief operating officer Jonathan Leather added that Abu Sennan continued to perform strongly.

“United are looking forward to further potential production additions from Abu Sennan in 2021, with a number of activities planned.

“Drilling at ASH-3, the first of a multi-well programme, is currently underway, with results from this well due in Q1.”

In addition to Abu Sennan, United has assets onshore Italy, offshore Jamaica and in the UK North Sea.
