Union Jack Oil plc said that “rig maintenance requirements” had delayed the start of drilling the Crossroads well in southern Oklahoma.

Joint venture partner and operator Reach Oil and Gas Company Inc. had intended to spud the well this week.
“The operator is confident that the well will be spudded before the end of April 2026,” added Union Jack.
Crossroads is expected to penetrate a “large 100 acre structure in the prolific Oil Creek Sand”.
The overall three-well drilling programme also includes Sark, spud in August 2025, and Wolverine-1, both in central Oklahoma.
Union Jack, which has a 43% interest, is fully funded for drilling costs from its existing cash resources.
