Tullow Oil plc has appointed Rebecca Wiles as an independent non-executive director, effective from 28 June.
She replaces Dr Mike Daly who is retiring.
Ms Wiles has deep technical subsurface and geoscience expertise following a 33-year career at BP.
She gained emerging markets’ experience from her role as vice president of exploration and appraisal at BP Angola, and commercial and operational experience as managing director of BP’s Norway business.
Ms Wiles was also an integral member of many of BP’s functional leadership teams, which focused on optimising performance and verifying subsurface data.
She holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Geochemistry, is a Fellow of the British Geological Society and is also a non-executive director for SES Water.
