Tullow Oil plc has appointed Rebecca Wiles as an independent non-executive director, effective from 28 June.
She replaces Dr Mike Daly who is retiring.
Ms Wiles has gained deep technical subsurface and geoscience expertise following a 33-year career at BP.
She also has emerging markets experience through her role as vice president of exploration and appraisal at BP Angola, as well as commercial and operational experience from her position as managing director of BP’s Norway business.
Ms Wiles was also an integral member of many of BP’s functional leadership teams, which focused on optimising performance and verifying subsurface data.
She holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Geochemistry, is a Fellow of the British Geological Society and is also a non-executive director for SES Water.
