Prospex Energy plc has been formally awarded the Dunajec onshore gas licence, adding to its San acreage, in southern Poland.

Dunajec includes a “shallow undeveloped oil discovery” with “near-term commercial potential”. which will be assessed for early development.
Both licences are in areas with “proven gas production and associated infrastructure”, “high prospectivity” and limited activity since 2000.
The investment company plans to use modern imaging, evaluation and development techniques to discover resources and for development.
Prospex said it was currently gathering historical data of both licences to plan future work, and that it intended to secure joint venture partners.
