Prospex Energy plc has appointed Simon Ashby-Rudd as a non-executive director, with immediate effect.

NED Andrew Hay will not stand for re-election at the company’s general meeting, expected in June 2026.
Non-executive chairman Bill Smith said that Mr Hay had “ably served the company as a non-executive director since 2023”, adding: “Andrew’s contributions, insights and guidance, including his service as chair of the audit committee, have been significant.
“I would like to take this opportunity to wish Andrew the best for his future endeavours.”
Mr Ashby-Rudd is an energy banking professional with more than 35 years’ experience providing strategic and financial advice to the energy sector.
As a senior investment banker he has led deals across equity capital markets, public and private debt, and corporate and asset acquisitions and divestments in Europe, North America, and Africa.
Mr Ashby-Rudd is currently a NED of Europa Oil & Gas plc, as well as the independent chairman of other closely held companies.
He has no direct or indirect interest in Prospex’s issued share capital.
The company holds onshore gas interests in Italy, Spain and Poland.
