Kavango Resources plc has appointed Everjoy Ngomamiti as general manager for its Zimbabwe mining operations, effective immediately.
Most recently mining manager at Barrick Mining Corporation’s Bulyanhulu gold mine in Tanzania, Mr Ngomamiti has 19 years’ international mining experience.
His work includes underground and open-pit mining across Zimbabwe, Tanzania and Australia, with a track record of mine expansion and innovation.
Mr Ngomamiti has led teams responsible for operations, cost control, technical strategy and major capital projects.
He is expert in technical systems and training, having built national engineering teams, implemented Deswick software, and led drill/blast process optimisation.
Mr Ngomamiti’s appointment with Kavango sees him returning home to Zimbabwe after leaving in 2012 to work in copper and gold mines in Western Australia.
Kavango holds two gold projects of Hillside and the Nara option on the Filabusi greenstone belt.
