Helium One notes rise in Jackson-2 flow rates

Helium One Global Ltd said that flow rates had increased to more than 250 thousand cubic feet per day in the Jackson-2 well at the Galactica project in Las Animas County, Colorado, USA.

Joint venture partner Blue Star Helium drilling the well to total depth of 1,232 feet within the Upper Lyons Sandstone formation, encountering the formation at 1,159 ft.

Projected stabilised flow rates are 300 to 400 Mcfd constrained to optimise production, with a maximum potential rate of 500 Mcfd, based on a previous engineering study.

Helium One added that early analysis of samples returned helium concentration of up to 1.22% (air-corrected), 77.77% carbon dioxide and 20.61% nitrogen.

Jackson-2 tested the far southeastern extent of the Galactica area.

The 50-50 JV project is part of the broader Galactica-Pegasus development, discovered by Blue Star in 2022.
