Harbour Energy plc’s BASF-nominated non-executive director Hans-Ulrich Engel has stepped down, after the German company’s holding in the oil and gas producer fell below 25%.

Under the September 2024 agreement, BASF Handels-und Exportgesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung was entitled to nominate two directors to the Harbour board.
Following Mr Engel’s departure on 8 June 2026, BASF retains one director on the Harbour board.

The company holds interests in Europe, Asia, Africa, Central and South America.
