Guardian Metal Resources plc has staked further claims, collectively known as the Pilot Mountain North tungsten-copper project, 15km northwest of its Pilot Mountain project in the Walker Lane Mineral Belt, Nevada, USA.

CONCENTRATIONS
The acquisition comprises 59 new Bureau of Land Management lode claims, which include three tungsten mines dating from World War II of Copper Head, Western Metals and Jasper.
The area also has “other historically reported tungsten, copper and iron prospects”.
“The company believes these prospects represent genetically related tungsten-copper-polymetallic skarn mineralisation at the contacts of granitic intrusions with limestones of the Luning Formation, a similar geological setting to the deposits at Pilot Mountain,” said Guardian.
The company added it had visually confirmed that copper oxide mineralisation and ultraviolet (UV) light investigation “suggests high concentrations” of scheelite.
Initial grab rock samples from the various zones across the project are undergoing assay.
Geological consultant, Dr Lawrence Carter, is due on site within two weeks to undertake geological mapping and sampling and develop exploration strategies.
