GreenRoc Strategic Materials plc has awarded contracts for phase III drilling and geotechnical and hydrogeological surveys at its Amitsoq graphite project in southern Greenland.

Mineral Exploration Drilling Ltd’s operations aim to extend indicated and measured resource categories, as well as provide data for the planned pre-feasibility study.
The programme involves up to 12 holes ranging from 130 metres to 285mf for up to 2,30 0m.
SLR Consulting Ltd, which has been involved in GreenRoc’s previous feasibility studies at Amitsoq and the active anode materials plant, will conduct the surveys.
The company will also provide onsite training for GreenRoc crew in data acquisition procedures.
Amitsoq’s 2023 mineral resource estimate, based on phase I and II, for a combined measured and indicated categories of 7.38 million tonnes at 21.21% graphite.
The results also showed an additional inferred resource of 15.67Mt at 20.04% graphite.
GreenRoc said that the drilling team was expected to mobilise in mid-June and complete operations in August 2026.
