First Development Resources plc has completed a high-resolution aeromagnetic and radiometric geophysical survey over the Lander West gold target on the Selta project in the Northern Territory, Australia.
DRILLING
Results of the survey, which covered around 4,200-line kilometres, will help determine targets for drilling gold mineralisation, associated with “anomalous surface geochemical and historical shallow drilling results”.
The company will also integrate the survey results with those of its gradient array induced polarisation survey, currently in progress, surface sampling and shallow drilling in order to refine and prioritise drilling.
First Development has additionally started the application process to gain access to land and heritage approvals.
Chief executive officer Tristan Pottas said: “Completion of the high-resolution AMAG and radiometric survey at Lander West represents a major step forward and it has materially improved our understanding of the subsurface geology and structural controls on mineralisation.
“We are very pleased with the quality of the datasets delivered and look forward to advancing Lander West through the next phase of exploration.”
Selta comprises three exploration licences which are also prospective for uranium and rare-earth elements, as well as base and precious metals.
First Development also holds copper-gold licences in the Paterson Province, Western Australia.
The company is a spin-out of Power Metal Resources plc which, as at 2 February 2026, retains a 33.04% interest.
