Critical Mineral Resources plc has been awarded an initial 10-year mining licence for its copper-gold-rhyolite-silver project at Agadir Melloul in central Morocco.
JURISDICTION
The 14.6km2 licence covers Zone 1 North and Zone 2, currently undergoing drilling, where the planned open pit mine area is expected to be loccated.
The company said it planned to produce an inaugural mineral resource estimate between the end of the second and early third quarter of 2026.
Chief executive officer Charlie Long added: “We are delivering strong, value-accretive progress at the Agadir Melloul and remain focused on advancing towards production as soon as practicable.
“The award of the mining licence is a major milestone and further underlines Morocco’s credentials as a supportive and attractive mining jurisdiction.”
The company is earning 60% of the sedimentary hosted copper-silver deposit, which covers an area of 80 km2.
