Critical Mineral Resources plc has appointed Géraud Moussarie as chairman of the board.
Mr Moussarie is a seasoned executive with international experience in leading multi-country commercial and stakeholder programmes.
He has additionally advanced large-scale energy, infrastructure and natural resources projects across North and West Africa.
While working for BP, Mr Moussarie’s roles including senior commercial manager for North Africa, branch manager for Morocco and country manager in Senegal.
From 2021 to 2023, Mr Moussarie became project director and general manager for Rio Tinto in Guinea.
Critical Mineral said that his appointment added a “new dimension” to its strategic and governance capabilities.
The company holds copper-silver exploration projects in Morocco.
