Corcel plc has appointed Leandro Schujmann as its new chief financial officer.

Mr Schujmann replaces Scott Kaintz who stepped down on 31 March 2026 to pursue interests outside the company.
“We would like to thank Scott Kaintz for his contribution to Corcel and wish him every success in the future,” said chief executive officer Scott Gilbert.
Mr Schujmann has more than 10 years experience in senior finance, and was previously CFO at Prime Oil & Gas (now Meren Energy), where he managed a US$3 billion investment portfolio.
His experience across Latin America and Africa includes complex cross‑border financing structures.
Corcel holds oil and gas interests in Angola, where new seismic has recently revealed the key Sirius and Canopus prospects, and in Brazil.
The company additionally has an 80% working interest in the Mt Weld rare earth elements project in Western Australia.
