Central Asia increases offer for NWR

Central Asia Metals plc has increased its offer for 100% of New World Resources Ltd’s issued share capital from A$0.062 to A$0.065 per NWR share.

The new offer values the acquisition at approximately A$240 million.

Central Asia’s unconditional offer is open for acceptance until 7pm (Sydney time) on 18 August 2025, unless extended.

The company said that following its new offer, rival bidder and NWR’s largest shareholder Kinterra Capital GP Corp, with a 19.16% holding, had increased its offer to A$0.066 per NWR share.

Australian explorer NWR owns the Antler copper project in Arizona, the 4,000-acre Javelin project near Antler and the Tererro copper-gold-zinc project in northern New Mexico.

Central Asia’s current assets are in Kazakhstan, North Macedonia and Scotland.
