Capricorn extends deadline for possible offer

Capricorn Energy plc has secured a second extension to the possible all cash offer for the company from Alamadiyaf al-Masiyyah for Trading LLC, which is a member of the Jeddah-based Cafani Group.

The potential purchaser now has until 5pm on 3 June 2026 to announce whether or not it has a firm intention to make on an offer.

“Alamadiyaf al-Masiyyah continues to report progress regarding its funding arrangements and, accordingly, the company has requested, and the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers has consented to, a further extension of the PUSU deadline in accordance with Rule 2.6(c) of the Code,” said Capricorn today.

The new deadline may be further extended with approval from Capricorn, which remains in an ‘offer period’, and the Panel.

Capricorn, which has made an offer for Deltic Energy plc, currently holds oil and gas interests, onshore Egypt.
