Cadence CEO increases shareholding

Cadence Minerals plc chief executive officer and director Kiran Morzaria has increased his stake in the company.

On 5 August 2026, Mr Morzaria bought 733,867 ordinary shares at £0.044 per share, and now holds 6,163,674 ordinary shares, which represent 1.4% of the issued capital.

The company is preparing to start production at the Amapá iron ore project in northeast Brazil, where the Azteca processing plant is now 77% refurbished and metallurgical tests completed.

“Our focus is increasingly shifting from rebuilding the plant to preparing it for reliable operations, while refining the infrastructure required to support long-term production,” said Mr Morzaria.

“Management’s priority is straightforward: complete the remaining execution work, secure the operating licence and transition Azteca into commercial operations.”
