Bezant Resources plc technical director Edward (Ed) Slowey has resigned to begin his retirement, effective from 31 July 2026.
The Africa-focused company thanked Mr Slowey for his work on the Hope and Gorob copper-gold mine development in Namibia.
“We are pleased that Ed has agreed to continue to be available to consult on an as-needed basis in relation to the company’s Kanye manganese project in Botswana,” said Bezant.
“Last but not least we wish Ed and his family all the best for a long and happy retirement.”
During his overall career, Mr Slowey was a mine geologist at the Navan zinc mine in Ireland and Rio Tinto exploration manager, which led to discovering the Cavanacaw gold deposit, now operated by Glanatas Gold Corp.
Bezant also holds the Eastern Foreland copper project in central eastern Zambia.
