Arkle to drill gold-bearing outcrop at Inishowen

Arkle Resources plc is this week due to start a four-hole drilling programme on the 46km2 gold licence in Inishowen, County Donegal.

Target: drilling aims to intercept the vein at different depths and along strike (stock photo)

CONTINUITY

The company will follow up work completed at the Meeneragh target and aim to test the main gold-bearing outcrop.

Drilling, from two drill pads at -45 and -70 degrees, will focus on the main vein target that previously produced intercepts of 3.05m at 5.8g/t gold and 4.82m at 5.48g/t gold.

Arkle said it aimed to intercept the vein at different depths and along strike to determine vein continuity.

Further drill holes have been permitted but are dependent on results.
