Arkle Resources plc has appointed three new directors to its board, with immediate effect.
NAMIBIA URANIUM
Rory Harding has been made interim chief executive, Robin Birchall is a non-executive director and Mark Burnett strategic adviser.
Mr Harding is an emerging markets specialist with experience in energy, mining and investment banking, and also an adviser to London merchant bank Strand Hanson.
He co-founded and is the asset originator for multiple publicly-listed mining companies, most recently Electrum Discovery.
Mr Harding formerly worked in energy trading and has extensive operational experience in Africa, including in Namibia.
He is also a director of Oakridge Vision Ltd, which sold its option over an 85% interest in Namibia Uranium to Arkle.
Mr Harding, through related parties, will receive 56,400,000 consideration shares and he will also subscribe for 18,750,000 shares in a placing, as part of Arkle’s fundraise today to acquire Namibia Uranium.
His shareholding in Arkle will number 75,150,000 ordinary shares, representing 5.12% of the company’s enlarged issued share capital.
Robin Birchall has more than 25 years’ experience in the financing and management of resource companies.
He is the current CEO of a Africa-focused copper developer, Oscillate plc, and formerly chairman of Evolution Energy Minerals Ltd, CEO at Giyani Metals Corp and a NED of Helium One.
Arkle will issue Mr Birchall with 11,750,000 shares, following the company’s acquisition, which takes his holding to 11,750,000 ordinary shares (0.80%).
Robin Burnett is director of mining investments at London-based mining specialist in London, RAB Capital, with more than 10 years investing and corporate finance experience in extractive industries across North America, Australia and Europe.
He is also an executive director of Strategic Minerals plc whose subsidiary, Cornwall Resources Ltd, is advancing the Redmoor tin-tungsten-copper project.
Mr Burnett is additionally a NED of Nevada-focused Guardian Metal Resources plc, which is progressing the Pilot Mountain tungsten project.
In addition to Namibia Uranium, Arkle has existing interests in gold, lithium and zinc exploration projects in Ireland.
