Altona Rare Earths plc said it had received “excellent” initial assay results from its 2025 drilling campaign at Monte Muambe in Tete Province, northwest Mozambique.

Individual grades were of up to 82.76% calcium fluoride and up to 409 grams per ton gallium oxide.
The weighted average grade of significant intercepts was 31% calcium fluoride, which was “consistent with the company’s expectations and with typical fluorspar mining industry calcium fluoride grades”.
The results also showed “numerous near-surface intercepts” which confirmed the deposit as suitable for open-pit mining.
The highest intercept from surface was 18.3m of 43.89% calcium fluoride, as well as 66.4m of 62g/t gallium oxide.
Altona added that the results corresponded to diamond drill samples at the Fluorite and Python zones.
Results to date cover approximately 10% of the samples submitted, with the remaining assay results due over the coming weeks.
Overall results will be used to prepare the project’s fluorspar and gallium mineral resource estimate.
