Texas-based TDI Brooks International is due to deliver the vessel to the 22,400km2 licence block in mid to late December 2025.

The work programme, expected to last two to three weeks, comprises collection of 40 to 60 seabed cores from the Walton and Morant Basins, along with bathymetric, multibeam, and heat-flow surveys.

Results, due during the first quarter of 2026, will provide data on the presence of hydrocarbons and materially de-risk Walton Morant.

United said it extended its thoughts to all those affected by last month’s hurricane in the west of Jamaica.

The company is working closely with the Ministry of Energy, Telecommunications and Transport, the National Environment and Planning Agency and local stakeholders as recovery efforts continue.

Chief executive officer Brian Larkin added: “While Jamaica focuses on recovery from the recent hurricane, United remains fully committed to supporting the country and advancing our planned operations responsibly and is working with local authorities to support relief efforts.”
