Panther Metals plc is preparing to drill two “highly prospective” targets, of the Wishbone prospect and the Awkward conduit prospect, at Obonga in northwest Ontario, Canada.

During the coming week, the company will clear the land for the permitted drill pad locations.
The company described Wishbone is an “emerging” zinc and copper base metal volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) system.
Awkward hosts an interpreted magmatic conduit prospective for hosting magmatic sulphides including nickel, copper, platinum group elements and associated elements.
Chief executive officer Darren Hazelwood said: “We are pleased to be commencing drill pad construction works at both the Wishbone and Awkward prospects, a key milestone as we move decisively toward our upcoming drilling programme.
“At Wishbone, the previously reported zinc and copper intersection highlights the potential for a material mineralised system.
“At Awkward, our conduit-style model-interpreted as a potentially sulphide laden magmatic feeder pipe-represents a highly compelling target with the potential to host a significant new deposit.”
The district-scale Obonga project holds five key targets, which all have drill permits, and also include Survey, Ottertooth and Silver Rim.
