Panther Metals plc has appointed SRK Exploration Ltd as independent consultants to conduct a mineral resource estimate for its optioned Winston tailings project in Ontario, Canada.
The historic site contains high-grade gold, gallium, silver, zinc, copper and cobalt and other minerals within the mine’s tailings storage facility.
Panther said that the MRE would be based on the resource drilling programme, mineralogical and metallurgical testwork and linked studies undertaken during Q3 and Q4 2025.
The MRE will then support the publication of ore reserves.
In June 2025, Panther signed an option for Winston, which comprises the Pick Lake and Winston Lake deposits, the Winston Lake mine site infrastructure and exploration targets.
The company has since opened talks with Fulcrum Metals plc on a possible joint venture for the project.
Fulcrum has an exclusive contract on Extrakt Process Solutions LLC’s proprietary non-cyanide technology on its own gold tailings projects also located in Ontario.
