Oriole Resources plc reported an “incredible” discovery rate of 125 gold-bearing intersections in the first eight drill holes from its inaugural campaign at the Mbe orogenic gold project in the Adamawa region, Cameroon.

A total of 2,667.3 metres’ drilling at the MB01-S target revealed approximately “one gold intersection for every 21m drilled”.
Results from the latest two holes returned a further 31 gold mineralised intersections, using a 0.20 g/t gold lower cut-off grade.
Hole MBDD008 returns include 86.50m at 1.36g/t gold from 22m, including 39.40m at 2.00g/t gold, 6m at 2.24g/t gold and 3m at 2.32g/t gold.
Results from MBDD007 include 24.20m at 0.45g/t gold from 194.30m, including 3.00m at 1.27g/t gold.
“The results are hugely significant for the project and continue to demonstrate wide zones of bulk-tonnage and near-surface gold mineralisation, which could be mineable by open pit,” said Oriole.
The fully funded phase I inaugural programme at the MB01-S target is approximately 60% complete for a total of 3,912.20m drilled in 12 holes (MBDD001-012).
The thirteenth hole MBDD013 is in progress.
Further results are expected later this quarter ahead of planned completion of the programme and an independent JORC exploration target estimation, both during Q3.
Publication of an inaugural “pit-constrained” mineral resource estimate is scheduled for Q4 2025.
“We are ecstatic with the latest drill hole results from MB01-S,” added chief executive officer Martin Rosser.
“Not only have we encountered very significant widths of mineralisation, but the grades in hole MBDD008 are the best to date and hugely impressive, and from near surface to boot.
“These results emphatically support our contention that MB01-S, with its wide zones of bulk-tonnage and near-surface gold mineralisation reported to date, could be favourable for a potential open pit mining operation.”
Oriole is planning the next phase of drilling at MB01-S and inaugural drilling at MB01-N.
The company owns 90% of Mbe with earn-in partner BCM International Ltd having acquired an initial 10% interest.
BCM can acquire a further 40% on a $4 million spend on exploration.
The 312km2 Mbe licence is one of five within the company’s district-scale Eastern Central Licence Package.
