Metals Exploration plc has been granted a 3,100 hectare exploration licence, hosting a volcanic massive sulphide target, over the Dupax project area in Northern Luzon, Philippines.

DRILLING
Tenement EP-000168 lies some 20 km southwest of Metals’ Runruno ore processing facility in Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya.
An induced polarisation ground geophysics survey has already started over rock chip and trench sampling anomalies.
The survey will run over a 10km long geological belt containing the historical high-grade Keon open pit, and will additionally define possible deeper targets.
Rock sampling results show mineralisation over a 10km strike with historical rock sample grades of up to 15.47 grammes per tonne gold and 7% copper.
Metals will also soon begin a 2,500 metre drilling programme, targeting outcropping high-grade mineralisation.
An established economic resource Dupax could see the mined ore potentially extending processing operations at Runruno, “significantly” enhancing the value of both.
Chief executive officer Darren Bowden added that there was a “high potential” to discover an economic resource.
“The IP survey will be completed over the next few weeks.
“Drilling will commence in parallel, and we intend to use the IP data to fine-tune target locations of the maiden drilling programme.”
