IGas appoints Kate Coppinger to the board as independent NED

IGas Energy plc has appointed Kate Coppinger to the board as an independent non-executive director (NED) with immediate effect.

Ms Coppinger is currently a NED at Serica Energy plc and has more than 20 years’ experience advising energy companies on M&A and strategy.

She will be a member of the audit and remuneration committees at IGas.

Ms Coppinger initially worked for CIBC World Markets as a research analyst before joining Harrison Lovegrove in 2000 where she moved into transaction execution.

Following the acquisition of Harrison Lovegrove by Standard Chartered Bank in September 2007, she continued in oil and gas M&A transactions.

In 2014, Ms Coppinger was appointed managing director, oil & gas corporate finance, where she was responsible for origination and execution of transactions for European clients, until leaving Standard Chartered Bank in 2020.
