Helium One Global Ltd has confirmed free gas by wireline logs in the Jackson-2 development well at the Galactica farm-in project in Las Animas County, Colorado, USA.

TIE-IN
Partner and operator Blue Star Helium drilled to a total depth of 1,232ft (375m) with the well flowing naturally during drilling and in line with the previously drilled Jackson-27, Jackson-29, Jackson-31 and Jackson-4 wells.
Helium One reported good reservoir communication at total depth with Jackson-2 encountering 73ft (22m) gross pay of high-quality, gas-saturated sands and no water in the target Upper Lyons Sandstone formation.
The joint venture is awaiting results of samples sent for analyses of helium and carbon dioxide concentrations.
The well head is currently being installed ahead of surface pressure readings, flow testing and further gas sampling.
The JV plans to mobilise the rig to the campaign’s sixth and final well location of State-9 SWSE 3054.
Chief executive Lorna Blaisse added: “This has been a very successful development campaign to date, and Jackson-2 is the fifth well to have been drilled.
“Blue Star are assessing the overall programme in order to determine the timing of the next phase, which will include installation of the processing facilities and the tie-in of the wells.”
The Galactica project is part of the broader large scale Galactica/Pegasus development, discovered by Blue Star in 2022.
