Cornish Metals Inc.’s chief operating officer Owen Mihalop has left the company, among other management changes.

MANAGERS
The Canadian company, advancing its South Crofty tin project towards construction, said that Mr Mihalop had left on 25 April to pursue new opportunities.

contribution to South Crofty,” said chief executive officer Don Turvey.
“We are grateful to Owen for his dedication to the project and his many achievements.
“We wish him all the best in his future endeavours”
Cornish Metals has appointed David Howe as general manager to lead the operational activities of the company’s South Crofty mine, effective 1 May.
Mr Howe has 35 years’ open pit and hard rock underground mining (including narrow vein) operational and exploration experience, having worked in Venezuela, Mexico, Canada, Mexico and Chile.
He spent 24 years in executive and senior management roles, including general manager, country manager, exploration manager and vice president operations.
Mr Howe also has experience in rehabilitation of old previously operating wet mines,
including drilling, dewatering and developing them into operations.
He holds a Master’s degree in Mining Geology from the Camborne School of Mines and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Oxford Brooks University.
The company has additionally appointed Guillermo Alcazar as project director to lead project construction and development at South Crofty.
Mr Alcazar has more than twenty years’ global experience in leading and overseeing a multi-million dollar complex portfolio of mining, heavy industrial, and infrastructure projects across diverse development stages.
He led the project leadership roles for Eldorado Gold in Greece, First Majestic Silver’s capital project initiatives, and most recently group manager Western Canada for Technical Management Group Ltd.
Mr Alcazar holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana.
Subject to approval of a UK work visa, anticipated in May 2025, he will relocate from
Canada to Cornwall.
