Cornish Metals plc has appointed Hennie Faul and Danny Callow as independent non-executive directors, with effect from 1 October 2026.
A mining engineer with more than 30 years’ experience, Mr Faul has held operational, project execution and environment, social and governance leadership roles in 11 countries across five continents, in open pit and underground operations.
He joined Anglo American in 2004 as a principal mining engineer and led its zinc operations before becoming group head of mining. From August 2013 to July 2019 he was chief executive officer of the company’s copper business in Chile and Peru.
Mr Faul is currently a NED of ACG Metals Ltd and Atalaya Mining Copper S.A., Master Drilling Group Ltd and Valterra Platinum Ltd. He also served on the board of Centamin plc until AngloGold Ashanti acquired it in 2024.
Danny Callow is a chartered engineer with more than 30 years’ experience in mine development and operations.
He began his career underground in South Africa and later worked in mining services and as a mining analyst, becoming CEO of Mutanda copper mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo and CEO of Mopani Copper Mines in Zambia.
From 2015 Mr Callow was head of Africa copper operations for Glencore and CEO of Katanga Mining, before joining African Gold Group in 2019, became president and CEO the following year, and is now a NED of the company re-listed as Toubani Resources Ltd.
From 2022 to 2024 he was a director and chief operating officer of Consolidated Copper Corp, and in September 2026 he was appointed an independent NED of KEFI Gold and Copper plc.
Mr Callow graduated in Mining Engineering from the Camborne School of Mines in 1993, holds an MBA from Henley Management College and is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
Cornish Metals is advancing the South Crofty tin mine through construction and towards production.
