Botswana Minerals plc has appointed David Cockbill to the board as a non-executive director.
Mr Cockbill, who is also a NED with Arkle Resources plc, is a corporate financier and public capital markets executive.
He studied accountancy at Manchester University before beginning a 35-year career in the City of London with investment banks such as HSBC and Société Générale.
Mr Cockbill was also a proprietary trader for periods with ING and Dresdner
Since 2021, he has been a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulated person, focusing on the micro-cap sector and raising capital for public companies in the natural resources and technology sectors.
Mr Cockbill and his spouse currently hold 12 million ordinary Botswana shares, representing 0.72% of the company’s existing share capital.
Botswana is using artificial intelligence on data for its diamonds, copper, nickel, cobalt, zinc, platinum group metals, gold, and silver licences.
