Angus Energy plc’s chief executive officer and director Richard Herbert has resigned, with immediate effect.
The company also announced that it was in “active discussions” with Jonathan Tidswell-Pretorius on assuming the role of interim non-board role of chief operating officer.
“The board would like to thank Richard for his dedication and hard work in taking the company through what has been a transformative time in its development,” said interim chairman Krzysztof Zielicki.
“He was responsible for the refinancing of the company and has set Angus on the course for future growth.
“We wish him all the best in his future endeavours”
Angus is the operator of all its interests including the wholly owned Saltfleetby gas field in East Lincolnshire.
The company also has a majority share in conventional oil production fields at Brockham in Surrey and Lidsey in West Sussex, and 25% in the Balcombe licence also in West Sussex.
