Angus Energy plc has appointed Ross Pearson as chief operating officer and executive director, with immediate effect.
Since October 2023, Mr Pearson has been director of wells and subsurface, with responsibility for the technical team, capital budget, drilling and workover programmes, and M&A evaluation.
He was previously technical director and executive committee member at IGas Energy plc, where he oversaw subsurface, well engineering and facilities engineering.
Mr Pearson’s exploration and production experience spans 25 years in the UK, North America and Australia.
Angus said that Mr Pearson would be responsible for all operational, technical and HSE functions.
He will additionally work with the finance director on capital allocation, strategy, and investor relations.
Mr Pearson is a petroleum engineer, a Fellow of the Energy Institute and a long-standing member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
He holds 12,500,000 ordinary shares in the company, through a subscription, which represents 0.16 % of Angus’ issued share capital.
