Alba Mineral Resources plc has completed a field programme at the Motzfeldt polymetal project in the Gardar Province, southern Greenland.

The company’s team focused on the Merino rare earths target area and also took samples from the project’s main deposit area of Aries.
Aries alone holds an inferred resource of 340 million tonnes, containing 41,000t tantalum, 629,000t of niobium, 1.56Mt of zirconium, 884,000t of total rare earth oxides and an average uranium content of 70ppm.
Completion of a detailed drone photogrammetric survey will help plan future development of Aries.
Motzfeldt also contains the Voskop and Romney targets.
Alba has agreed a 51% stake in, and operatorship of, the Motzfeldt niobium-tantalum-zirconium-rare earth element project.
Current owner Elemental Rare Metals Ltd will hold 49% after the transaction completes.
