Acrux CEO becomes director at Cononish mine

Acrux Sorting Technology’s chief executive has become a director of SCZ Grampian Ltd, which operated the Cononish gold-silver mine in Scotland.

Companies House recorded that Sean Browne was made a director of SCZ, formerly Scotgold Resources plc, on 6 March 2025.

Acrux executive Karel Potgieter also became a director of the company on the same date while Paul Smith’s directorship ended.

SCZ has changed its registered address from Tyndrum on the southern edge of Rannoch Moor to Aberdeen.

*On 13 March Bridge Barn Ltd, owned by Scotgold’s previous major investor Nathaniel Le Roux, no longer held significant control of SCZ.

Acrux today took the majority ownership of SCZ along with qvoting rights and the right to appoint or remove directors.
